The Nokia Lumia 710 is a fun and practical phone that also packs a whole bunch of powerful features. There’s built-in voice-navigated GPS and multimedia players, Facebook™, Twitter™ and LinkedIn™ are integrated and, with swappable covers, the Lumia 710 can be personalised to suit your mood.

A stylish look.
The Nokia Lumia 710 has a tough and solid body that’s curved to fit perfectly in your hand. The 3.7” touchscreen responds perfectly to finger swipes, ClearBlack technology cuts glare and brings out vivid colours in your photos and videos and with Corning® Gorilla® Glass, you’ll be hard pushed to scratch it too.

Make your smartphone your own with Xpress-on covers. Just pick one of the colours to suit your mood and snap them on – you’ll have black or cyan right out of the box. Even better, you can customise your Start screen to match the colour of your cover!

Keep up with your social life.
The Nokia Lumia 710 has built-in support for Facebook™, Twitter™ and LinkedIn™, meaning the People Hub offers updates from all three, all in one place. Social updates will even appear in your contacts folder. There’s also Threading, a fantastic feature that links together all communications from your contacts meaning emails, texts & instant messages are grouped in one place so you can track conversations no matter how you’ve received your messages.

The power of Windows® Phone.
Because the Nokia Lumia 710 is powered by Windows® Phone, it’s packed full of great apps. There’s Microsoft Office so you can edit and create everything from Word to Excel documents, you can sync with SkyDrive add multiple Exchange accounts, link up with Xbox LIVE™, access thousands of songs and videos through Zune and fly through the internet with the fast and secure Internet Explorer 9.

Fantastic Nokia-only apps.
On top of the 50,000+ apps available in Windows® Phone’s Marketplace, there’s some awesome Nokia-only apps. Into music? Nokia Mix Radio learns your music tastes and finds new artists you'll love. Hate getting lost? Nokia Drive and Nokia Maps (free download from Marketplace) bring sat nav to your phone, including full voice guided navigation with traffic alerts. Best of all, UK roadmaps are preloaded free - so you don't need an internet connection to use them!

FEATURED REVIEW
a steal at this price
pete

,15 February 2012
This is an excellent price for an excellent smartphone, almost as good as the Nokia Lumia 800, just lower screen resolution and less storage at 8GB, still enough though. Free Tomtom like app you can take in Europe, some free music, really nice OS. At this price it's the fastest and easiest to use mobile. There is no contention from Android handsets cause they require 2 cores and 1GB or RAM to run well. But this can sell at a lower price cause doesn't need the hardware to be fast. Battery last the day which is typical for most smartphones, little bit more if you put the auto save battery setting.

Review 2 for Nokia Lumia 710
Easy to use and well made Windows phone
Rob

This is a good phone if you can get it for a reasonable price. Like most Nokias it is very well built. It comes with click on backs in black or (Nokia) blue - bit of a throwback to much older Nokias, but actually more fun than I expected. Windows Phone (version 7.5) is brilliant & really easy to use. So I'm basically very pleased with it.
There is a downside. The battery is OK but not generous, you will probably have to recharge most days. The camera is pretty awful. There's no memory card slot. There are plenty of apps, but not as many as Iphone/Android. In particular there's no TV Iplayer yet & no news when (if) one will come. Windows Phone is trailing third or fourth in market share & the arrival of Windows Phone 8 seems likely to split this small market further.
Still think it's a good phone though.

Excellent smartphone

Got this when it was on offer for £100. Very pleased with it. Though it is entry level for windows phones it runs very smoothly and have never found myself thinking "I wish ..." Email and calender sync with various email accounts is excellent. Internet browsing is good and smooth. Texting is fine. Don't make many calls, but is OK.
Camera and video are good. Music quality is good.
Windows OS is pretty good. One or two minor quibbles, but nothing major. Eg no facility to block numbers, phone has to be on for alarm to work. Working out when you have closed an app, and when you have just left it is not intuitive.
There are fewer apps for Windows than android, but more than enough.
The free satnav is fine, as is Nokia maps.
Overall, delighted with the phone.

The voice activated crontrols and texting are very impressive.
However the bluetooth on this phone only supports voice calls (to a bluetooth headset) when it seems standard these days for bluetooth to do much more, i.e. transferring pictures to other phones...
I also couldn't get MMS working and the guy in the local Carphone Warhouse store said this phone isn't compatible with MMS.

This phone is alright, I would recommend it. My problem is with the carphone warehouse not delivering the credit that you are forced to pay for. Avoid buying pay as you go phones from the carphone warehouse.

What a phone at a very good price. If you not after an all singing and all dancing phone (eg I-phone) then from what I can tell you this is a very good phone. Been using it for over 2 months and had no problems. Connected up my bluetooth headset in seconds, Trying to get my brother to switch from Blackberry to this. Recommended buy.

I have had a lot of phones in my days, and I can honestly say the Windows Phone will probably the best of all. It will certainly take over the IPhone. It's so easy to use and all the functions are perfect and faultless.
Connectivity is also good through the WIFI and Bluetooth, and the apps are also plenty-full and really easy to install, Emailing and Internet browsing are also flawless and a very quick response loading time from both.
In fact the Phone is so easy to use a child could use it, if you want a phone that is reliable, fast, easy browsing, playing games then the Lumia 710 is the one for you. Well done NOKIA..The full 5 Stars.

bought this for my wife who is not technical at all - looks great and simple to set up within a few minutes of getting out of the box. Clear and simple to use icons and it is easy to link emails social networking etc. the aps may not be as numeous as android etc but there are plenty to choose from. Nokia drive which you can use off line is great. battery life reasonable. No regrets .

The phone is good because it has wifi and is simple and fun to use and with a speedy processor this is a good phone!. 2 of the bad points are the battery life im having to charge it everyday or every 2 days this isnt good!! Also you have 3 pressable buttons at the bottom, i have only had this phone for 2 months and the buttons are wearing out!, when you press the home button it either refreshes the page you were on or miminizes the screen!. Thanks for reading :)

had the phone 10 days and although it has taken a few days to get used to all the new options compared to my old mobile now it is getting familiar I am finding it easy to use and has lived up to my expectations. The online manual is clear and covers everything if you are not used to new technology. I find the windows format easy and it has been great so far and look forward to using it more and more in the future, would definitely recommend especially with such a good tarrif.

I like this Nokia, but I find it very difficult to put family and friends phone numbers on it. It is very complicated, so much so that I've given up. Perhaps someone may be able to help me.
There are other complicated issues, but I prefer not to say much about it, but use this Nokia only as a phone, and ignore the more complicated stuff.

It is very easy to use considering i am not good with phones.
I love the fact that i can personalise the phone, and the tiles on the homepage is worth it. Setting up a hotmail account first to get most out of the phone great. Battery life is good, i dont have to charge it for a good few days sometimes. The phone is not too small or too big, and holds easily in the hand, I can actually find it in my handbag. It is definatly a good user friendly phone.

Brilliant Phone

Had this phone for around 1 month now so happy to make an informed comment.
Battery life is not the best - but no smart phone ever is. I noticed another comment saying that Windows 7.5 OS is amateurish. I can only say I 100% disagree with this. Here we have an OS that is optimised for the hardware - something you cannot say for Android.
At this price you can't go wrong. Infact the only other option I would now consider is the Lumia 800 which has just dropped like a stone in price. Yes, we wont get Windows 8, but we will get 7.8, which has all the cool front end stuff people are talking about.
Hope that helps.

Really pleased with this phone, especially for the price. Battery life is average, needs a charge every day basically. Windows Phone 7 is nice to use, nice and fast with smooth transitions, and it did a great job of bringing in my contacts and email.
Screen is nice, but not as good as the 800.
