Another Nokia triumph

In a recent review for another phone - the Samsung E1170 - I happened to mention that this was the phone I bought to replace it. And I'm glad I did! It has everything I love about Nokia phones, i.e. good quality display, great selection of ringtones, easy web access(although I have yet to try this) and is generally a doddle to use. Have been using it on the Orange network for less than a month and I can see myself using it for a good few years yet - well done Nokia! Review 2 for Nokia C2-01 Need very small fingers!

Changed to this on Orange hoping the coverage in my area (Sussex) might improve but no better than Tesco (O2). The centre navigating button is very difficult to use. If I want to scroll up I have to turn the phone upside down and use my thumb nail to push up, otherwise the centre of the button (select) is pushed by my finger, so I just keep scrolling down till the option comes round again. Either that or I will have to go to a nail bar for extentions, not perhaps the best solution for a builder! Having had a Nokia before, this one was the perfect phone for me. At the moment I cannot fault it. it does everything I expected it to do and even takes quite good photos. The only thing I am not too keen on is the smiley face symbols!!!!! This phone replaced a Nokia 6700 and although much less in price but is virtually the same type of phone but does have a few less apps than the 6700, but its still a nice phone though Overall Ease of use 5

Very sleek, compact little phone. Does everything I need it for, just making calls and sending texts - BUT - as far as I can see there is no facility to automatically save incoming texts - after they are viewed they disappear into the ether and you can't refer to them afterwards! The phone itself is just what a pre-apps phone should do. It has a camera and user friendly texting and calling facility plus iternet usage. Best of all however was carphone warehouses next day delivery (which i did not even pay extra for!) Superb service! Overall Ease of use 5

If you need glasses to read a book then you shoudl avoid this phone. Characters on the display are very small considering the good size screen. Why not use more of the screen ? Outside it is much worse so you can only see the display if youre inside somewhere. I purchased a C2-01 a week ago to replace my Nokia 6020 and could not hsve been more pleased with my purchase. I wanted just a mobile phone and it does that with all the ease and simplicity of use that i was looking for. The performance of the radio i would rate as 8 out of 10 not to mention the other features and applications that are avialable. For £35, this is the deal of the century One cant ask for more in a classic mobile. For this price its not worth, when u can have nokia lumina and other smart phones for more £20, why would anybody buy this. camera is only 3.2 where as 5 is standard now and no wi fi. i wouldnt recommend this to anyone its waste of money. yeh if its under £30 then ok but not for this price. no Age group: 18 - 29 I have used this product for: 1-3 months Expertise: expert I use this product for: Personal Overall  Ease of use 3

Display is rubbish in sunlight. Nokia have said in emails it is a feature of your device and they are aware of the issue. You just cant see it in even normal sunshine. I bought this C2-01 from Carphonewarehouse in Reading a month ago. When the sun finally came out I noticed that the screen is almost invisible even in medium sunlight. This is nothing to do with my eyes. Nokia's reply was that "it doesn't have an auto-brightness compensation on the display". Which means "it doesn't work in sunlight". The clarity of sound is good. (Some phones are muffled). The design is good. I ordered it as a second phone but liked it that much I use it as the main mobile. I'm happy with it. The ringing volume is louder than the others I've had, which is good as you can hear it, if at a distance. It's slim and sleek. I was quite surprised, didn't think it would be so nice! I had to change my previous phone as the internet wasnt working and there was an internet software fault. I bought a new phone which I chose this model. Internet is slow, doesnt load prooperly. Keeps switching off in mid internet. No function to increase time on screen power display? Wouldnt receommend this model. If there is a fault with it I will have to send it back - not a happy customer.
